How to make the perfect Green Tea

Follow these easy steps to make the perfect cup of Japanese Green Tea

Step1
Pour hot water in a tea cup and set it aside allowing the water to cool down.
湯のみに湯を取り分ける。
湯のみに湯を取り分けながら冷まします。

Step 2
Place the tea leaves into the teapot. On average, approximately 3g (one teaspoon) of tea leaves is used to make 1 cup of tea.
茶葉を急須に入れる。
一人約3g(ティスプーン1杯ほど)を目安に茶葉を急須に入れます。

Step 3
Pour the warm water from the the cup you set aside over the tea leaves. The preferred water temperature is usually between 60°C to 80°C.
湯を急須に戻す。
お好みで60~80度にある程度冷めたところで、湯のみに入れたお湯を急須に入れます。

Place the lid on the teapot and allow the tea leaves to steep in the warm water for about one minute. Please note that the steeping time for each type of tea slightly differs.

蓋をして蒸らす。
蓋をして約1分蒸らします。(茶葉によって多少時間は異なります)

Pour tea into the cup! If you would like to make tea for several people, start with pouring a small amount of tea into each cup, going back and forth till all the cups are evenly full. Make sure to keep pouring till the last drop of tea falls.
茶を湯のみに入れる。

複数の湯のみがある時は交互に入れ、最後の一滴まで絞りだすのがポイントです。
